Crack Chicken Penne is a creamy, flavorful pasta dish that combines tender chicken with a rich sauce made from cream cheese and ranch seasoning. Ready in under 30 minutes, this comforting recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners. Serve it warm with garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete, crowd-pleasing meal.
3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 ounces penne pasta
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Cook the Pasta:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook penne pasta until al dente (10–12 minutes). Drain and set aside.
Cook the Chicken:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook diced chicken breasts seasoned with salt and pepper until browned (6–8 minutes).
Make the Sauce:
Lower the heat and add softened cream cheese and ranch seasoning to the skillet. Gradually stir in chicken broth until smooth and creamy.
Combine Pasta and Sauce:
Add the cooked penne to the skillet, tossing until well coated with the sauce.
Add Cheese:
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top, cover, and let it melt for 2–3 minutes. Serve hot.
For extra flavor, add cooked bacon bits or sautéed onions and garlic to the sauce.
Swap penne for rotini or rigatoni for a different pasta texture.
Use low-sodium chicken broth to control the saltiness of the dish.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
