Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 2 lbs (900 g) organic chicken breasts

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 tsp On Everything All-Purpose Blend (or homemade blend, see notes)

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

  • 1 tsp sea salt

For the Hot Honey Sauce:

  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup (240 ml) raw honey

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp chili powder

  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  • Prep and Season Chicken:
In a large bowl, toss chicken with olive oil, salt, On Everything All-Purpose Blend, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
Place chicken on a cutting board and make small slit-like cuts about 1 inch apart on top of each breast.

Tip: Marinate for best flavor. Place coated chicken in a sealed bag and refrigerate 3 hours minimum, preferably overnight. Bring to room temperature 15–20 minutes before cooking.

  • Make the Hot Honey Sauce:
In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in honey, cayenne, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt. Cook until smooth and thick, then remove from heat.

  • Bake the Chicken:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place chicken on the sheet, leaving space between each piece. Spoon half the hot honey sauce over the chicken. Reserve the rest for later.
Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and fully cooked.

  • Serve:
Let chicken cool slightly, then spoon remaining hot honey sauce over the top. Serve with salad, rice, or pasta.

Notes

  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed container for 3–4 days. Reheat in the oven and drizzle with extra hot honey if desired.

  • Make-Ahead: Marinating overnight enhances flavor and tenderness.

  • Adjust Spice: Reduce cayenne or red pepper flakes for a milder version.

  • Serving Suggestions: Pairs well with basmati rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh green salad.
