Honey Garlic Salmon Bites

These Honey Garlic Salmon Bites are tender, crispy, sticky, and packed with sweet-savory flavor. They’re quick enough for weeknight dinners but impressive enough for entertaining. Serve them over warm rice with steamed veggies — or enjoy as a high-protein appetizer everyone will rave about!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb salmon, skin removed + cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided

  • 2 tsp garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar

  • ¼ cup honey

  • 2 tsp sesame seeds

  • 2 tsp chopped chives (or green onions), for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Salmon
Pat salmon dry with paper towels.
Season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper.
Drizzle 1 tbsp oil and gently toss to coat evenly.

2️⃣ Sear the Salmon
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add salmon cubes in a single layer.
Cook 4–5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crisp + golden.
Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining salmon.

3️⃣ Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
In the same skillet, add remaining oil.
Sauté garlic + ginger 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey.
Simmer 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.

4️⃣ Glaze & Serve
Return salmon to the pan, toss to coat in the sticky sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds + chives.
Serve warm over rice, noodles, or veggies.

Notes

  • Dry salmon very well → helps it crisp instead of steam.

  • Leave space between pieces while searing for better browning.

  • If you want heat → add cayenne or chili flakes to seasoning.

  • Marinate salmon 30–60 min for deeper flavor if time allows.
