1 ½ lb salmon, skin removed + cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
¾ tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
3 tbsp olive oil, divided
2 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
¼ cup honey
2 tsp sesame seeds
2 tsp chopped chives (or green onions), for garnish
1️⃣ Prep the Salmon
Pat salmon dry with paper towels.
Season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper.
Drizzle 1 tbsp oil and gently toss to coat evenly.
2️⃣ Sear the Salmon
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add salmon cubes in a single layer.
Cook 4–5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crisp + golden.
Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining salmon.
3️⃣ Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
In the same skillet, add remaining oil.
Sauté garlic + ginger 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey.
Simmer 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
4️⃣ Glaze & Serve
Return salmon to the pan, toss to coat in the sticky sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds + chives.
Serve warm over rice, noodles, or veggies.
Dry salmon very well → helps it crisp instead of steam.
Leave space between pieces while searing for better browning.
If you want heat → add cayenne or chili flakes to seasoning.
Marinate salmon 30–60 min for deeper flavor if time allows.
