This Breakfast Casserole is the ultimate easy comfort food—cheesy, hearty, and incredibly simple to make. With just 4 ingredients, it comes together quickly and is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even a cozy dinner. The buttery crescent roll base, savory sausage, fluffy eggs, and melted cheese make it a family favorite every time.
1 can crescent rolls
1 pound mild breakfast sausage
6 large eggs, beaten
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the breakfast sausage until fully cooked. Drain excess grease and set aside.
Unroll the crescent rolls and press them evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, sealing seams if needed.
Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the crescent roll layer.
Pour the beaten eggs evenly over the sausage.
Generously sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden and bubbly.
Let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
For extra flavor, add a pinch of salt and black pepper to the eggs.
Swap cheddar for Colby-Jack or Monterey Jack if you prefer a milder cheese.
If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil during the last 5–10 minutes of baking.
This casserole reheats well and makes great leftovers.
