Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • ⅓ cup honey

  • ½ cup low-sodium ketchup

  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • ½ tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken:
Arrange the chicken thighs in a single layer on the bottom of your slow cooker.

  2. Make the sauce:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the garlic, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, oregano, and parsley until fully combined.

  3. Add sauce:
Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken thighs.

  4. Cook:
Cover with the lid and cook:

    • LOW: 4–5 hours

    • HIGH: 3–4 hours
Cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  5. Serve:
Transfer the chicken to a serving plate. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • You can use bone-in or skin-on chicken thighs, or even chicken breasts—just make sure the bottom of the slow cooker is covered.

  • Cooking times vary by slow cooker, so always check doneness with a meat thermometer.

  • For extra flavor, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  • Serve over rice, noodles, quinoa, or steamed vegetables to soak up the sauce.
