This is the easiest and crispiest air fryer gnocchi you’ll ever make—and it’s ready in under 15 minutes. Crispy and golden on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, this recipe works perfectly with shelf-stable, refrigerated, or frozen gnocchi. It’s an ideal appetizer, snack, salad topper, or side dish for almost any meal.
1 lb gnocchi (shelf-stable, refrigerated, or frozen – regular, cauliflower, or sweet potato)
1–2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2–3 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (199°C) and lightly grease the basket with olive oil spray.
In a large bowl, toss the gnocchi with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese.
If using frozen gnocchi, do not thaw.
Add the seasoned gnocchi to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overlapping to ensure maximum crispiness.
Shelf-Stable & Refrigerated Gnocchi
Air fry at 390°F for 11–14 minutes, shaking the basket every 4–5 minutes, until golden and crispy on all sides.
Frozen Gnocchi
Air fry at 390°F for 13–16 minutes, shaking the basket every 4–5 minutes, until the outsides are crispy and lightly golden.
Remove from the air fryer and enjoy immediately. Garnish with extra parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
No overlapping: Crowding the basket prevents crispiness—cook in batches if needed.
Make it vegan: Skip the parmesan and use nutritional yeast instead.
Homemade gnocchi: Fresh or homemade gnocchi works great—just watch cooking time closely.
Flavor boost: Add Italian seasoning, chili flakes, or garlic salt for extra flavor.
