This Creamy Parmesan Garlic Beef Bowtie Pasta is the definition of cozy comfort food. Tender bowtie pasta is coated in a rich, garlicky Parmesan cream sauce and tossed with perfectly seasoned ground beef. It’s quick to make, family-friendly, and ideal for busy weeknights when you want something hearty without a lot of fuss.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 8 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta

Beef & Sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.

  2. Brown the Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart, until fully browned (6–8 minutes). Drain excess grease.

  3. Sauté the Garlic
Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet, then stir in the garlic. Cook for about 1 minute, just until fragrant.

  4. Make the Sauce
Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Let it gently simmer for 3–5 minutes, until slightly thickened.

  5. Add Cheese & Combine
Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat, using reserved pasta water a little at a time to loosen the sauce if needed.

  6. Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the garlic—it should be fragrant, not browned.

  • Pasta water is liquid gold: add it gradually to control sauce thickness.

  • Want heat? Add crushed red pepper flakes to taste.

  • For a lighter version, swap heavy cream with half-and-half (less rich, but still tasty).
