This Creamy Garlic Pasta is simple, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. Every strand of spaghetti is coated in a rich, silky sauce made with garlic, cream, and Parmesan cheese. It comes together in one pan in just 30 minutes, making it perfect for busy weeknights. Enjoy it as-is or dress it up with prawns, scallops, chicken, or vegetables for an easy Alfredo-style meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 3 cups chicken broth (plus more if needed)

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ½ pound spaghetti

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ¾ cup heavy cream

  • 1½ tablespoons dried parsley

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a medium pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring until fragrant.

  • Add the butter and stir until fully melted.

  • Pour in the chicken broth and season with black pepper and salt. Bring to a boil.

  • Add the spaghetti and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 12 minutes, until tender but still firm to the bite. Add more broth if the pasta begins to stick.

  • Reduce heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, and dried parsley. Mix until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

  • Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Use Fresh Garlic: Freshly minced garlic gives the best flavor.

  • Don’t Overcook Pasta: Cook just until al dente so it holds the sauce well.

  • Add Protein: Prawns, scallops, grilled chicken, or crispy bacon make great additions.

  • Veggie Boost: Stir in spinach, peas, or mushrooms for extra texture and nutrition.

  • Extra Creamy: Add a splash of pasta water or more cream if needed.
