Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes are the perfect quick side dish or snack. With a lightly seasoned crispy exterior and soft, fluffy inside, these potato rounds are a healthier alternative to fried potatoes and require very little oil. They pair perfectly with nearly any meal and cook up fast in the air fryer — ideal for busy weeknights.
4 large potatoes* (any firm potato works well)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic granules
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
1/2 tsp salt
Wash potatoes thoroughly. Slice into 1/2 cm thick rounds (about 1/4 inch).
Place slices in a pot of water while you finish cutting.
This removes excess starch and improves crispiness.
Drain fully, then pat dry with kitchen towels.
Add potato slices to a bowl. Toss with olive oil, garlic granules, dried herbs, and salt until evenly coated.
Arrange slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer for best results.
Cook at 200°C (390°F) for 18 minutes, shaking halfway.
Check for crispness — if needed, add 2 extra minutes.
Enjoy warm as a snack or serve alongside chicken, steak, burgers, or salads.
Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if needed.
Add a sprinkle of parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
Prefer wedges or thinner slices? Adjust cooking times slightly.
For extra crispiness, add 1 teaspoon cornstarch during seasoning.
