Air Fryer Potato Wedges

Air Fryer Potato Wedges

These Air Fryer Potato Wedges are the perfect balance of crispy and fluffy, with golden edges and a tender center. They’re a healthier alternative to deep-fried potatoes, yet just as satisfying. With simple pantry spices and only a little oil, you can have a delicious snack or side dish ready in about 30 minutes. Serve them alongside burgers, chicken, or enjoy them on their own with your favorite dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large russet potatoes (or Yukon Gold), cut into wedges

  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan or fresh herbs (such as parsley)

Instructions

  • Wash and scrub the potatoes well. Cut each potato into 8 wedges (slice in half lengthwise, then into quarters). Pat dry with a clean towel to remove excess moisture.

  • Place the wedges in a large bowl. Add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until all wedges are evenly coated.

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the wedges in a single layer in the basket (cook in batches if necessary).

  • Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the wedges are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

  • If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan or fresh herbs before serving. Serve hot with ketchup, aioli, ranch, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Soak the cut wedges in cold water for 20–30 minutes before cooking for extra crispiness (pat dry thoroughly afterward).

  • Avoid overcrowding the basket to allow hot air to circulate properly.

  • For extra flavor, try adding smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, or Italian seasoning.

  • Serve immediately for the best texture.
