These Air Fryer Fried Pickles are crunchy, tangy, and absolutely addictive. They’re just as crispy as deep-fried pickles but made with far less oil, making them a lighter and less greasy appetizer or snack. Perfect for game day, parties, or whenever a salty craving hits!
For the Pickles
1 cup sliced pickles
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon hot sauce (such as Tabasco)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
For the Dip
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup finely minced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried dill (optional)
Place pickle slices between paper towels and pat dry. Let them sit for a few minutes to remove excess moisture.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, flour, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
Place panko breadcrumbs in another shallow bowl.
Dip each pickle slice into the egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs. Place on a baking sheet.
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Arrange pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with oil.
Air fry for 5–7 minutes, flip, spray again, and cook another 5–7 minutes until golden and crispy.
Mix all dip ingredients in a small bowl. Serve with hot pickles and enjoy!
Drying the pickles well helps the breading stick better.
Don’t overcrowd the basket—work in batches if needed.
Add cayenne pepper to the breadcrumbs for extra heat.
Serve immediately for maximum crispiness.
